Driving
Consider departure times for traffic, especially Friday evening. Are you travelling by car or minibus? The fewer cars saves on petrol and minibuses are more social and can be the most economical. Hire costs for a weekend can be as low as £120 for a collection Friday evening return Monday morning. Everyone is together and contributes to hire and petrol. Look for a central meeting point where people can leave cars safely and travel with others. |

Train
Book in advance and the train can be great value, less stress than driving and more relaxing as you can walk around, and most trains have a buffet car.

Flying
Airlines are continually increasing domestic routes in the UK and the prices can be excellent value. Again, early booking is essential and via the Internet saves time and money.
French Alps - nearest airport to Les 2 Alpes is Lyon. Air France and British Airways fly throughout the year to Lyon. The fast efficient French Autoroute makes driving simple and offers you the opportunity to extend your stay and see the sights. |
